Awoke on mom’s B-Day to explore the southern areas of Provence, and especially Aix en Provence. This is a beautiful university town with a bustling old city. Also the home of Paul Cezanne and his famous landscape of Mt. St. Victoire.

Then drove to the coast and followed the Corniche de l’Esterel instead of the highway to our last B&B in Cap d’Antibes. Our GPS wanted us to take the plunge as you can see, but we’ve gotten used to it by now. Breathtaking scenery along its twists and turns. Drove through Cannes but didn’t stop. The film festival begins tomorrow and it was a zoo.

Ended the evening with a wonderful seafood dinner in old Antibes after champagne and cheese in our room supplied by our families for mom’s B-Day.
