This morning we left Rockland on a freshening northwest breeze to our northernmost destination, Belfast. It is a small village at the head of Penobscot Bay with a colonial history. The town burned down entirely twice so all construction was mandated to be brick. This is really rural Maine at its best. Even very few cruising boats come this far north in the bay. All of the townsfolk were very friendly and interested in our travels We walked around the docks and the town and then had dinner in town. Enjoy the sites.
