S-S-S-Sydney

We arrived in Sydney yesterday afternoon and after getting settled in we decided to go up The Sydney Tower for a panoramic view of the city. No small feat for those in the crowd who were afraid of heights. The views were great. Then Cheryl had a massage, Alan and Lois did some shopping, and I went off with my camera.

No one seems to know where these large yellow snails came from but they suddenly popped up all over the city last week. We had an outdoor dinner at an excellent seafood restaurant, Cyrens, in Darling Harbor. This morning we strolled around downtown for a bit and had a great breakfast at a French Cafe. Then off to Paddy’s Market which is a local favorite produce market combined with a flea market.

After lunch we were entertained by some interesting Didgeridoo Music from Aborigines. This afternoon we did a city tour which we must admit was pretty bland, but we did get around the city and out to Bondi Beach and Watsons Bay. They take their life guarding very seriously in Bondi Bay. More city touring tomorrow by foot which should be much better and then by harbor ferry on Friday.

Here are some initial views around town.
