We may have been the first people in the entire world to trick or treat today! This morning I went to buy postcards and when I walked into the shop I naturally said “trick or treat.” After asking me where my costume was, we all had a laugh and they gave us some candy ghosts and spiders. They told me that they weren’t really expecting anyone until the afternoon. So while it was still October 30 back where you are we had our first treat and were off to our second one.
Havelock on Pelorus Sound is the Green Mussel epicenter of the Earth. They export their delicacy to the entire world. So it was on to lunch at The Mussel Pot in Havelock. Cheryl and I shared a pot of the steamed green delicacies while Lois and Alan shared the sampler plate of Green Mussels prepared every which way. They were delicious.
The drive back to Picton along the Queen Charlotte Sound was the curviest yet! It took over an hour to go just over 10 miles. Great views of the Pelorus and Queen Charlotte Sounds below and Temperate Rain forest in between. The towns in the picture are Havelok and Picton on our way around the sounds.
Enjoy the mussels, we did.

The 5th. picture with its greys, of all intensities, blues and being viewed between the complimentary colors of the flora, is lovely. Ahhhh! what pleasure to experience excellent
composition.
The photos of that lovely place setting with its succulent helping of mussels have my mouth watering.
