Sunrise On the Holy Ganges

Hindus make a pilgramage to the Ganges to bathe in its waters at sunrise and offer prayer. Once cleansed at the Ghats they will then worship in one of the seven temples built beside the river. Cremations continue 24/7 and we came across one while walking the ghats after our boat trip. Again the crowds, the dancing and singing of followers making their way to the river, the rituals, the continual noise of life in the city and the dust all combined to add to the mystical experience. This is a place we can show you, but certainly cannot describe in its entirety. On the way bak to the hotel we drove through Baranas Hindu University and also saw a local rickshaw school bus.
