As an important aside, if anyone reading this blog were thinking of going to Cuba I would highly recommend our guide Jesus Noguera Ravelo. His English is better than mine, he is an excellent and careful driver, he knows all of the right people in the right places, is an excellent historian, knows where to go and when, and is very flexible in adjusting an itinerary even on a daily basis to meet his clients needs. The one possible downside…..even by his own admission, although 100% Cuban, he is not the best Cuban dancer! ( but he does know who is, as will be demonstrated later in the blog).
