Late yesterday afternoon we arrived in the city of Ollantaytambo at the other end of the Sacred Valley. The city is very much intact as it was in Incan times with whole blocks of houses preserved and the original streets with running water channeled off the mountains. We had a little time to explore the city before dinner at our hotel – Pakaritampu. I had a delicious Alpaca filet. The mountain views are from our hotel room and that’s Cheryl reading in our garden before heading out to explore some of the hillside Incan structures. So much to see and do and we haven’t even gotten to Machu Picchu yet.
