Toured Avignon. The highlights were the medieval city and the Palace of the Popes. They reigned from here for several hundred years. Then outside the city wall was the St. Benezet bridge, better known as the Avignon Bridge of song fame for anyone who ever studied French. We did dance.
Off to the Pont du Gard for a picnic and some hiking. This 2000 year old immense Roman aqueduct is probably the # 1 attraction in France outside of Paris.
Off to another French meal tonight.We will both need gastric bypass on our return.
