After Ken and I explored the quarry at Stonington in the morning we left for Winter Harbor and Seal Cove. Even more remote and off the beaten track…no cell service or internet. However it was spectacular in its beauty and sereneness. Cheryl and I kayaked the area while Ken and Sue took their dingy around. Ran into a couple who had sailed there from Germany.
After dinner last night we went back to Seal Cove at twilight to observe the seals coming ashore after a day at sea eating. It was pure fun, although some of the seals didn’t like the disturbance and showed it by splashing their tails hard in the water, even though we stayed 100 yards away.
