Started the day at the Chagall Museum in Nice. Then drove up to the Matisse Museum. It was in a park with the ruins of a Roman Collisseum.

Picnic in the park there and then drove to Renoir’s house. He wasn’t home and neither was the house. It was undergoing renovation. A quick change of plans took us to Grasse, the epicenter of perfume for the world. A museum, some sniffing of their popular scents, and then we broke into the Rose Festival, which was being set up for an opening tomorrow.

Home for champagne and we’re heading out to our pool. Haven’t made dinner plans yet, but it will be a special French dinner.
