We left our cute little apartment this morning at The Desert Palms Resort (and golf club) for a bit of breakfast at The Red Dog downtown in the pedestrian mall. Fantastic birds all over including one Mulga Parrot who joined us for a spot of tea. Then we did a quick look about town with a stop at the Mbantua Cultural Museum and art gallery. It was very interesting but the prices of the Aboriginal art work were definitely Park Ave.
Just a side note here. The only thing worse than the oppressive heat in the Outback, and its much worse, are the flies. They swarm all over you. Anyone venturing here in the future be forewarned….bring your face screen covers. They are worth it!
Off to Melbourne and more temperate weather.
