We left City Island Thursday afternoon to go with the tide in the East River. Dodging supertankers, barges and cruise ships became second hand by the end of the trip. The views of the city were spectacular from the water. After leaving Lady Liberty and the Verranzano Bridge behind we sailed to Great Kills Harbor on the southeast tip of Staten Island. A spectacular day.
