We departed Annapolis along with a Navy escort, we’ll sort of (they were out training) for our last sail back to our home port before winterizing and hauling the boats next week. As you could see from the last few posts, the leaves are starting to change and the evenings are getting chilly. Daytime temps are still in the low 70’s and upper 60’s. We were greeted by a Virginia Class nuclear sub after leaving the Severn River, shades of our home in New London. We also passed a beautiful schooner heading up the bay. The wind was perfect for our sail south as you can see by the full sails in Windward Passage off to our starboard. We all arrived safely and celebrated a great fall adventure and quickly began talk of a potential itinerary for the spring.
