Jesus met us early for our westward journey to the Vinales Valley. In addition to spectacular views of the limestone mogotes, we also learned about tobacco farming and the cigar industry ( more on that later), coffee growing, organic farming of necessity due to high cost of pesticides, rural life, and a spectacular hike to a cave in one of the mogotes. At the organic farm, La Paraiso we had “too” much lunch with a relaxing De-Stress smoothie. The secret ingredient… rum, of course.
