Our last day in Sydney dawned clear and warm. We started our day in the aquarium right next to our hotel (sorry guys the fish picture is from the aquarium. In spite of several efforts I was unable to download my reef pictures from The Great Barrier Reef. Disappointing, but hopefully I’ll get another shot at it in New Zealand). After the aquarium we strolled through Darling Harbor and Tumbalong Park to The Chinese Friendship Garden. It was beautiful. From there after a spot of lunch we visited the Art Gallery of New South Wales. Mostly modern art and some aboriginal art as well. A very large collection of Sol Lewitt from Chester, CT. He befriended a local benefactor here and there was an entire room of his works.
Cheryl and I then strolled through the Botanic Garden and down to the harbor for one last visit. She toured the galleries at The Rocks, and also found a large street fair going on. I climbed the pylons to the top at The Sydney Bridge. I did not climb the scaffolding and girders however, but many others did as you can see. The views were spectacular none the less. I then met Cheryl at The Rocks and we walked around a bit before heading back to our hotel. It was a great way to finish off our last afternoon in Australia.
