We left Mt. Desert this morning and began our westward trip through areas of Maine that we purposely skipped on the way up. First port is Stonington on Deer Isle, home of the famous red granite quarries and also a very busy lobstering port. Numerous schooners and windjammers in the Deer Isle thoroughfare which is where we are moored. Seals and dolphins also. Pretty town and very laid back.
