Ranthambhone Day #2 Banyon Trees, Birds, and Barrels of Monkeys

Day Two in Ranthambhone was without tiger encounters. There are only 51 tigers in this park and about 3500 in all of India due to hunting and poaching. This has been markedly decreased in the past years due to tighter enforcement and regulation and the tiger population is on the rise, but there is still a lot of work to be done. That said, we had two great trips into the park where we spotted numerous deer, wild boar, mongoose, and numerous varieties of birds, including storks, owls, parakeets, King fishers, eagles, as well as others.
