We left Penobscot Bay yesterday and traveled west to Round Pond, about 6 miles north in Muscongas Bay. Round Pond is a small inlet with a general store, ice cream shop, 2 churches (one sort of famous called The little Brown church), an antique store, and 2 restaurants. That’s it!
Of course lots of lobstermen and the associated docks to unload and ship. This whole town is like a step back in time. We’ ll have dinner at The Anchor Restaurant instead of the lobster dock tonight (TOL— tired of lobster).
