Leaving Tangier for the Potomac River and Smith’s Creek

The day arose with brilliant sunshine and plenty of wind. We strolled the main Ridge of Tangier in the morning greeting and speaking with the locals before departing  around noon. We motor sailed across the bay to the mouth of the Potomac River where we were welcomed by much calmer seas and a gorgeous sunset over the barely inhabited Creek. We saw more Osprey, Gannet, and Pelicans than we did people. A Humpback whale was spotted in the Bay however we did not see it. We read it in the news!
