This morning we were due to fly to Pokhara, a resort/trekking center west of Kathmandu near the Annapurna Range of the Himalayas. For reasons which only have a partial rationale explanation we didn’t take off until 1:00 PM. Partly due to smog, partly due to mild fog, but I feel mostly due to a very inefficient air traffic control system that doesn’t in the least consider passenger inconvenience. Oh well, we all got some reading done in the airport and we’re grateful to finally have gotten off the ground. Once airborne we had great views of the Annapurna Range. Having arrived later than expected, we had an outdoor lunch lakeside at our resort and then Cheryl and I went for a hike around part of the lake while Alan and Lois rested. Late dinner tonight.
Just a quick note to thank you for your wonderful travel notes and photos. We wonder if you are making a dvd of the comments and pictures as we would love to use them as a topic of education for our grandchildren.

I just wanted to say thank you for making this trip so memorable for us…. as you said to me on the last day, I dont’ envy you in your editing process. It’s a tedious chore for sure.
