Annapolis. One if By Land, Two if……Oh Forget It!

Today we headed to Annapolis, sort of as originally planned. The only problem is the forecast is calling for  no winds today and tomorrow and at least 4 days of rain with strong winds building over this  week. So Annapolis it was…..by car! After getting the lay of the land we walked through the historic district down to the harbor. It is a beautiful downtown with a multitude of historic buildings. Annapolis was also a major slave port where many slaves were brought in and sold by the harbor. There are multiple sites dedicated to the slave trade. There were many classic boats in the harbor as well as some 80+ foot racing yachts. Lunch at The Iron Rooster was fantastic. Tomorrow it’s back to visit The Naval Academy and visit some more of the historic homes. Dinner back on board Enchante’ tonight.
