This morning we took a tour of the US Naval Academy. Yes, their mascot is the goat, but that’s a long story. There are 4500 Middies and a gorgeous campus. We toured some of the academic buildings, the chapel with the crypt of John Paul Jones, and watched a parade dress before the Middies went to lunch. After our own lunch in town we toured The William Paca House and gardens. He was a signer of The Declarartion of Indepedence and one of Maryland’s first governors. A lot of interesting history about Maryland and the Revolution- they really weren’t much in favor of becoming independent.
