So it’s somewhat official. The NWS has pretty much put the Chesapeake Bay as ground zero for Hurricane Joaquin. After some discussion we decided it is always prudent to prepare early and be safe rather than sorry. So not too many pictures today as we prepared the boats for the storm. Taking down the sails and other canvas, moving the kayaks, paddle boards, and dingys to dry land, and basically doubling up our dock lines and securing all potentially loose objects. When all was said and done Cheryl and Sue set up a salad bar for all of us to have dinner. It was yummy and hit the spot. Tomorrow we plan to drive to DC to hit several museums and have lunch with Ann before heading back to the boats to reasses the storm track.
