A Morning at Boby Owl Cove and a Trip Back Across the Bay

After a gorgeous sunrise, we spent the morning in Boby Owl Cove having a sumptuous breakfast while watching the crabbers and oystermen ply their trade. You can see one of the men still using the old tong method like they did in colonial times. Also a duck blind used by hunters was right near our boat. Fortunately it is not hunting season at present. Our initial plans were to head across the Bay to the West River just south of Annapolis but the winds would not cooperate. It would have been a long slog directly into the wind, so midstream we adjusted course and headed back to our berth at Herrington Harbour. We had a nice walk around the property and then a goodbye dinner for Fred and Marilyn as they will be heading home tomorrow. We will be heading to Detroit for my niece’s wedding which we are very excited about. We will be back onboard next Monday night.
