Spent our first day strolling around the heart of old Santa Fe. The sites we took in were the oldest church still functioning in the United States, the San Miguel Mission, with supposedly the oldest continuously standing house in the US seen just behind the church on the left in the photo above. Other sites included the Loretto Chapel with its amazing spiral staircase without internal or external supports, the old plaza with the Indian traders, The Georgia O’Keefe museum, The New Mexico History Museum and Governors Palace, and the Canyon Road Art Colony. The day ended with a fabulous gourmet meal at Geronimo’s.
Is Geronimo still alive and a restaurantier ( not sure of spelling)?
