We explored the South Rim of Grand Canyon today starting at Mather Point and then hiking the rim to Yavapai Point. We then headed to the east to Yaki Point and Pipe Creek Vista. Finally we hopped a bus to the western sections at Bright Angel, El Tovar, and Hopi Point. It had rained the day before so in the morning there was a mist ascending out of the Canyon. This made the setting that much more mystical. This is a place like no other in the world, being one mile deep and ten miles across. It was good for Cheryl and I to get back after both of us not being here for many, many years.

Wonderful pictures that remind me that our tour experience at the canyon
was terrific but limited in scope. What a treat to see the canyon creating
a local weather system.
