Our last day of the trip. We were up early to take advantage of the early morning light and see more of the Red Rocks. Back to the hotel for a hike around the base of the rocks, and spot some wildlife and then see a demonstration of Apache Culture. After that a car trip to the rocks in and around the northern part of the city. We drove to the Chapel of the Holy Cross, built into the mountainside by disciples of Frank Lloyd Wright. We ended the evening on a Pink Jeep tour of the Broken Arrow Trail. This took us high up into the back country on the other side of Cathedral Rocks. We bumped and skidded our way to Submarine Rock, Chicken Point and up and down slopes that we thought were impossible to scale. It was unique and tons of fun. One final farewell dinner at L’Auberge de Sedona and we are now winging our way home. We saw fantastic sites, learned alot about native American culture, a bit about our nuclear past and present, and learned how to cook some terrific New Mexican fare.
Until next time……….
