Obidos is one of Portugal’s most popular hill top walled cities. It was a favorie amongst Portugal’s kings as a beautiful town to take their wives and for nobles to be married. It is still a very popular wedding destination spot today. Our Pousada (hotel) was in the original king’s palace dating back to medieval times. It only has 9 rooms, and we stayed in an original chamber. The remainder of the town is quite touristy, but there were beautiful sites to be seen and walking along the walls above the city was alot of fun. We had a wonderful dinner at a local trattoria.
