After a night of dancing no better way to work it off then hike in the Escambray Mountains just north of Trinidad. After departing our luxury B&B, Casa Colina, we arrived at Topes de Collantes National Park. It wasn’t until we were there that Jesus mentioned Caves, a waterfall and a swimming hole. The hike was relatively smooth going until the descent into the valley below the waterfall. Quite steep and slippery. Barry and Joan endured all the way, but with my “new” hip I stopped at the 3/4 mark where I had a nice view of the upper falls. Afterwards Jesus took us for a delicious lunch up in the mountains where they also raise their own Tilapia. Delicious!
