Today we crossed Isle au Haut Bay to Vinalhaven Island to a remote harbor called Winter Harbor and Seal Cove. Before leaving Ken and I dingyed over to the granite quarry in Stonington. It is interesting to see how they followed the veins of pink granite tossing all else aside.
This afternoon Cheryl and I kayaked around Winter Harbor and Seal Cove. Spectacular scenery. The seals will nest on the rocks this evening. Perhaps we’ll go back later.
