We began the morning early in Jaipur at the Hawa Mahal Bazaar, the largest in Jaipur. Some important purchases to make. We then travelled through the countryside to our “hunting lodge” in Ranthambhone. This is the true rural India. We even passed by a local election where the police told us to keep moving and not get out to take pictures. There was interesting reading in the local newspaper while traveling. Anyone looking for a bride? All it takes is the right dowry! On our arrival at Ranthambhone we were greeted by spotted owls, thousands of parakeets and huge fruit bats, but the best was yet to come. More on that in the next post.
