We left Staten Island on a beautiful sunny morning for our trip through New York harbor and up the East River. No matter how many times we have been to NYC it is still an amazing site, especially from the water. We dodged super freighters under the Verrazano Bridge, barges, the Staten Island Ferry and tugs in the upper Bay and East River, and even super maxi ocean racing trimarans that had just finished the TransAt Race from England to NYC. We all agreed that this passage through the city was just as exciting as our trip down last fall.
